The global robotics industry is estimated at US$49,541.3 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach US$76,452.2 million by 2031, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.5% over 2025-2031. Volume is estimated at 35.1 million units in 2025, rising to 49.8 million units in 2031. Asia Pacific is the largest region at US$24,238.9 million (48.9% share) in 2025, and North America is the fastest-growing region at an 8.7% CAGR.

The report sizes robot hardware sold to end users, calculated as units shipped multiplied by average selling price, across industrial robots, collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robots and automated guided vehicles, professional and personal service robots, and aerospace and defense robots. Software, peripherals, systems integration, robot components and after-sales services are excluded. The estimate is built bottom-up from sourced unit counts (International Federation of Robotics, IDC and company disclosures) and is cross-checked against the published IFR industrial-robot installation value of US$18.6 billion; the report states which channels rest on published prices and which on analyst estimates.

Scope of the Global Robotics Industry Strategic Research Report

This report covers market value (US$ million) and volume (thousand units) for 2022-2031, with 2025 as the base year and 2026-2031 as the forecast period. It analyses six robot types, eight application verticals, five regions and country-level markets (21 named countries or groupings plus five rest-of-region groups), and profiles 30 companies across the value chain, from precision-component makers to system integrators and defense and space robotics suppliers. Where a figure could not be verified from a public source, the report says so and does not present it as fact.
