The global cable protective sleeving market is estimated at US$1,231.1 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach US$1,668.9 million by 2031, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2% over 2025-2031. Volume is estimated at 3.85 billion metres in 2025, rising to 5.49 billion metres in 2031 (6.1% a year). Automotive is the largest application at 71.4% of 2025 value, and Asia Pacific is the largest and fastest-growing region at 58.6%.

Cable protective sleeves are textile, braided, extruded and composite sleeves that protect wire harnesses and cable assemblies from abrasion, heat, electromagnetic interference, chemicals and mechanical damage in vehicles, rail, communications electronics, construction machinery and industrial equipment. Self-adhesive tapes, heat-shrink tubing and rigid conduit systems are outside the scope of this report.

Scope of the Global Cable Protective Sleeving Market Strategic Research Report

This report covers market value (US$ million) and volume (billion metres) for 2022-2031, with 2025 as the base year and 2026-2031 as the forecast period. It analyses four sleeve types, five applications, five regions and 28 country-level markets, and profiles 11 companies. The market size is a bottom-up estimate built from vehicle production, sleeving content per vehicle and price per metre, calibrated to the published automotive estimate and cross-checked against company disclosures. Confidence in the absolute base is low to medium because no audited industry revenue series exists, and company market shares are not published.
